🔧 Role Overview
As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality engineering solutions for industrial and utility projects. You will be responsible for preparing electrical design deliverables, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and supporting project execution from concept to commissioning.
This role demands strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate effectively with internal teams, suppliers, and clients.
🛠 Key Responsibilities
- Prepare Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), electrical schematics, and layout drawings
- Perform electrical design calculations for transformers, cabling, earthing, UPS, DG systems, VFDs, and related equipment
- Develop cable schedules, equipment datasheets, and engineering documentation
- Participate in Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and support related documentation activities
- Manage engineering schedules and ensure timely submission of deliverables
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, vendors, and suppliers for technical clarifications and project execution
✅ Mandatory Skills
- Strong expertise in electrical design calculations and system engineering
- Experience in creating AC/DC schematics, protection systems, and control panel drawings
- Good understanding of electrical equipment, components, and standards
- Hands-on experience in electrical drafting and technical documentation
⭐ Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of Block Logic Diagrams (BLD) for MV/LV switchgear
- Familiarity with FAT processes and documentation practices
- Understanding of IEC, IS, and IEEE standards
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills
💻 Software & Tools
Proficiency in:
- AutoCAD
- MS Excel
- Revit
- E3
Exposure to EPLAN, Visio, MS Office Suite, and PDF markup tools will be an added advantage.
🎓 Qualifications & Experience
Qualification: Diploma or Graduate in Electrical, Electronics, or Instrumentation Engineering
Experience: 2.5+ Years
